What got you into riding a snowboard? My brother was the pioneer for the family, after he started it made me have to try it.

If you could pick any song in the world to use in a video part what would it be?The song that I would pick would be from Fiest, I feel it all.

When you aren’t shredding what are you up to?When I am not riding I am hanging out with my family, especially my brother.  On weekends, all the friends get together on our boat and engage in water sports and enjoy the outdoors.  I also go visit my friends in Boston or go to the beach to surf. I am a very active person and am constantly on the go.

What do you plan on doing once your snowboarding career ends?
When I am done riding I would like to be able to stay involved in the sport, so I was thinking of being a sports announcer, physical therapist or a coach.

Tell us about the charity you started to sell your knitted hats? This summer I started a charity to help raise awareness about the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).  I am knitting hats throughout the whole summer.  My goal is to sell them in the fall and give 100% of the proceeds to the ASPCA.

Where are your favorite places to surf?My favorite place to surf is in Costa Rica, I have been to a couple of different spots down there and had a blast at every destination.  My next favorite place is Southern California, I have only been there a couple of timea but the waves and weather are very agreeable.

After already having one Olympics under your belt how are you preparing for Vancouver?
I am just taking one month at a time with this Olympic year.  Staying strong and healthy is my main focus.
