What got you into riding a snowboard?I had skied for a long time and when my brother started to snowboard I was eager to try something new and rebellious. My bro was cool enough to let me tag along he and his friends Matt (Peterson) and Chad (Otterstrom).
Who are the riders that impress and inspire you the most and why?I'm super impressed by the rest of the Sims team. Steve, Colin, and Gaetan are always ready to attack and it's sick to see how fast they step up to gnarly features. I also get inspired by my friends Austin, the Rush, B-ray, and Madison who kill it on a regular basis when the cameras aren't rolling, just for the love.
What trick do you wish you could master?Mctwists like the dudes who do them first run first hit in an icy pipe. Terje, Todd Richards, and Chad Otterstrom come to mind.
If you could pick any song in the world to use in a video part what would it be?Probably something from the Jonas Brothers or High School Musical.
When you aren’t shredding what are you up to?Reading, skateboarding, driving, playing tennis, or web surfing.
What do you plan on doing once your snowboarding career ends?The Nuggets could use some 3-point shooting so I’ve been working on my game, I think it’s a pretty solid exit strategy.
Word is that you were captain of your high school tennis team, is that true?Yeah, thanks for calling me out. We weren't that serious and it was a good time. don't hate.
What are the highest points you have ever scored on one word in Scrabble?I think it’s 86. I used all my letters and hit a triple word score. I think the word was "reloads"
You started a website called SnowHapps. What is the site all about?The goal of the site is to be a comprehensive event calendar for snowboard events. Right now it's just focused in Colorado. I've found it super hard in the past to find all the info about cost, location and times of contests and video premiers so I developed a website to get all the info in one place. It seems like so many websites have event calendars but not one is doing it right. I want snowhapps to be the complete calendar. it's free to use and post on. check it. www.Snowhapps.com
Which 09/10 Sims board do you prefer to ride?I'm diggin the Fisher and the Quest. The Fisher for jumps, backcountry and halfpipe and the Quest as a super fun jib stick and sick all-around park board.
